Nathan Gray visits us

Nathan Gray visits our school

Nathan Gray visited our school this week to tell us about his adventures around the world. His latest was being one of the first westerners to walk the entire length of the great wall of China. He walked through lots of extremes from sandstorms and deserts to snow and mountains. Each night he would find a village and the generous villagers would give him food and a place to sleep.
Nathan's message to us was about reading and how important it is at our age. When Nathan was young he read a lot of books and this helped him to become very good at reading. So when he went to College he found the work easier because he had read a lot at primary school. He even earned a place as an exchange student to South Africa. He told us he played rugby at his school there and taught his team mates the haka. They used to do it before all their games and the other teams would be scared and not play as well.
Nathan Gray is very clever, he can speak 5 languages and has written 2 books. He was really fun to listen to and I am going to make sure I read a lot so I can have great adventures like him.
